What you mean to the Australian Institute of Physics
Phycisists with the concern and commitment to take an active interest in their profession are the lifeblood of the institute. We welcome students and graduates who we anticipate will later be admitted to the professional grade of member. Outstanding contributions to Physics over a number of years are recognised by admission as a Fellow of the Institute. Graduates of other disciplines are welcome as Associate Members .
Whatever your professional involvement or interest in physics, you participation is actively sought and welcomed. A broad cross-section of members makes for a healthy discussion and a fresh approach, enabling the Institute to present a balanced and up-to-date viewpoint.
We encourage schools to maintain a link with the profession by becoming Subscriber Members and encourage their qualified staff to take out individual membership.
