Research Interests
Prof. Tony Williams has interests in: theoretical, computational, and
mathematical physics; complex and nonlinear systems; and advanced,
high-performance, and grid computing. His research is primarily in
the areas of theoretical particle and nuclear physics.
Topics of special interest include:
Understanding the nonperturbative behaviour of QCD and QED
Lattice gauge theory
Interpolating between quark models and perturbative QCD
Strangeness in nucleons and nuclei; hypernuclei
Modification of nucleon form factors in the nuclear medium
Tests and consequences of fundamental symmetries
Quark-hadron phase transition and heavy ion collisions
Models of nonperturbative QCD; effective meson-baryon models
