An Ammonia laser can operate in a pulsed mode where the peak heights of the pulses vary chaotically, i.e. they never repeat. Various quantities such as fractal dimension can be measured for such a laser. This picture is a visually appealing intermediate step in such an analysis. The data for this was obtained through a collaboration with the University of Queensland Physics Dept.
