Current research interests:
Prof. Tony Williams has interests in: theoretical, computational, and
mathematical physics; complex and nonlinear systems; and advanced,
high-performance, and grid computing. His research is primarily in
the areas of theoretical particle and nuclear physics.
Topics of special interest include:
- Understanding the nonperturbative behaviour of QCD and QED
- Lattice gauge theory
- Interpolating between quark models and perturbative QCD
- Strangeness in nucleons and nuclei; hypernuclei
- Modification of nucleon form factors in the nuclear medium
- Tests and consequences of fundamental symmetries
- Quark-hadron phase transition and heavy ion collisions
- Models of nonperturbative QCD; effective meson-baryon models
