Fifth International Symposium on Tropospheric Profiling: Local Organization

The symposium will be held at the University of Adelaide in a well equipped lecture theatre. The University is located in the centre of Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, within easy walking distance of hotels, shopping, restaurants, and cultural facilities.

The city is served by a national and international airport located 5 km from the city centre. International flights connect directly to Singapore, Kuala Lumpa and Hong Kong, with onward connections to Europe, Japan and other countries in Asia. Visitors from North America and New Zealand arrive via Sydney or Melbourne.

Morning and afternoon conference sessions will be held on all days, except Wednesday. A train trip to the famous Barossa Valley wine district will be held on the afternoon of Wednesday 6 December. The trip will include visits to several wineries and a conference dinner at Peter Lehmann Wines' Old Redemption Cellar.

Registration will take place on Sunday 3 December and during the conference. The registration fee will be $475 Australian (~$300 US). Students will be charged half the full fee. The registration fee includes the costs of an icebreaker on Sunday evening, and the winery tour and conference dinner.

An Accompanying Guests program is being arranged. A fee of $110 will be charged to cover the icebreaker, Barossa tour and conference dinner. Optional tours to local attractions, including the Cleland wildlife sanctuary, will be available.

See the University map under Local Information for details of locations of ice breaker, lecture theatre and poster papers.
