Public Schools' Club
207 East Terrace
(former residence of W.H. and W.L. Bragg)
The Annual General Meeting will be followed by a dinner,
during which:
Allan Lang
Editor of "The Southern Skeptics",
the newsletter of the Skeptics Society of S.A.,
will talk on the general theme of the need for
skepticism:
Today, strange ideas can be spread more rapidly on the
Internet,
and, in fact, 15% to 20% of people will agree with any
crazy
proposal put forward. The philosophy of skeptics is to
suspend
judgement until sufficient information is available.
Members partners and other interested persons are
especially welcome
at the AGM dinner. Bookings are essential for the dinner
and must be
made by 5:00 pm on Thursday November 13th with the AIP-SA
secretary
or Ms Tanya Weir on (08) 8303 5996. The format for the
evening will be:
6:30 pm - 7:00 pm Arrival: drinks
7:00 pm - 7:30 pm Annual General Meeting
7:30 pm Dinner Soup
Main Course
Cheese/Fruit
The AIP will provide bottles of the Public Schools' Club
house red and
white wines and carafes of orange juice for each table.
The price of
the dinner is $25 per person.
